1.Torbjörn+11.3Mixed threat
2.Pharah+11.0Mixed threat≈ +10%
3.Zenyatta+9.6Mixed threat≈ +9%

Counter ratings are measured from duel and teamfight outcomes in tracked Overwatch matches, not from match win rate. The rating is an index, not a percentage: 0 is a neutral matchup and a higher number means a harder counter. Source: Counterwatch community stats, all ranks, updated Oct 6, 2026.

Ratings come from the kill feeds of community matches: who wins the duels, and whose side dies more in teamfights. Match win rate is excluded on purpose, because it punishes counter picks made from behind. Counters that work by blocking damage rather than dealing it, like D.Va's Defense Matrix, are understated by kill data. How counter ratings are calculated →

Beating Reinhardt FAQ

What is the best counter to Reinhardt in Overwatch?

Torbjörn is the strongest pick against Reinhardt right now, with a counter rating of +11.3, followed by Pharah and Zenyatta. The full list below ranks every eligible hero against Reinhardt.

How are Reinhardt's Overwatch counters calculated?

From the kill feeds of community matches: who wins the one-on-one kill trades against Reinhardt, and whose side dies more while both heroes are on the field. Each hero's general strength is stripped out so the rating reflects the matchup itself, and match win rate is excluded entirely because counter-swappers are usually already losing when they swap. Matchups need 50 or more contributing players to appear.

Who is Reinhardt good against in Overwatch?

Reinhardt punishes Wrecking Ball, Hazard, and Anran hardest right now. If the enemy runs one of them, staying on Reinhardt is usually right.

Should I swap off my main to counter Reinhardt in Overwatch?

Only when the matchup is genuinely lopsided. Playing your best hero into a slightly bad matchup usually beats swapping to an unfamiliar counter: the data shows counter-swappers lose more often partly because they are off their main. Use the ratings here to judge how lopsided the matchup really is before giving up your comfort pick.
