Ban suggestions

Heroes to ban before the match

Bans happen before picks, so this only looks at your team. Ranks the heroes that hurt your lineup most when they show up.

Pick at least one hero on your side to see which enemies to ban.

How is the threat calculated?

Threat = the enemy's raw win rate against your team (above 50%) multiplied by how often that hero is picked in the current slice. We use raw matchup win rate instead of the shrunk number on the tier list because bans care about real-world impact, not fair ranking. A hero that beats you 53% of the time but is meta-frequent ranks higher than one that beats you 60% of the time but is rarely picked.

Per-map ban data isn't available yet — matchups in our dataset aren't broken down by map.

The confidence dots on each row reflect the matchup sample backing that specific recommendation. A niche hero with thin data lands lower on the dots even when their threat score is high, so you can tell which bans are battle-tested and which are still forming. Widen your rank or game type to thicken the samples.

How the counter calculator works

Each hero in your lineup is scored against the opposing team using community counter data from thousands of tracked matches. Higher Counter scores mean the hero historically wins the matchup against the enemies you've picked.

Synergy scores come from community pair win rates (how well a hero performs when paired with each of their teammates). When a map is selected, we also factor in each hero's win rate on that specific map.

The overall win chance prediction at the top blends counter primacy (50%), synergy composition (30%), and map advantage (20%). It's clamped to 5-95% so a partial lineup never reads as guaranteed.

Using the team builder for counter picking

When the enemy team locks in, fill their side first, then try candidate heroes for your role and watch each slot's Counter score and the overall win chance react. A hero with a 60% Counter score against this specific composition is a far safer pick than one stuck near 50%.

What makes a strong team composition

Strong compositions have three qualities at once: heroes that individually counter the enemy, teammates who synergise with each other, and a roster that fits the map. The team builder surfaces all three so you can balance them at a glance.

How ban suggestions are ranked

Once you pick heroes on your side, the ban block lists the enemies most likely to hurt your lineup. Ranking is raw matchup edge (how much the enemy beats you above 50%, summed across your team) multiplied by per-match pickrate (how often the hero actually shows up in the current slice). A hero that crushes one of your picks 60% but almost never gets played ranks below a meta-frequent hero that beats your lineup 53%, because banning a no-show is a wasted ban. Bans happen before picks, so this only looks at your side of the board.
