How many heroes are in Overwatch?
There are 53 playable heroes in the current Overwatch 5V5 roster: 15 Tank, 24 Damage, and 14 Support. Every one of them has a page here with their win rate, hardest counters, best maps, and strongest duo partners.
Which Overwatch hero has the highest win rate?
Torbjörn at 55.8%, across every rank. Per role the leaders are D.Mon (Tank, 53.8%), Torbjörn (Damage, 55.8%), and Zenyatta (Support, 53.6%). These rates are pulled toward the average in proportion to how few matches back them, so a hero nobody plays cannot take the top spot on noise.
What are the Overwatch hero roles?
Overwatch splits its heroes into 3 roles: Tank, Damage, and Support. Tanks create space and soak damage, Damage heroes do the killing, and Supports heal and enable the rest. A standard 5V5 team runs one Tank, two Damage, and two Supports. Use the role filter above to browse one role at a time.
Is Overwatch the same as Overwatch 2?
The live game is called Overwatch again. Blizzard dropped the 2 in February 2026, so a search for Overwatch 2 characters and a search for Overwatch heroes land on the same roster: the one listed on this page.
Why do some heroes show no win rate?
A hero needs a minimum number of tracked matches before a rate means anything. A brand new or rarely played hero is still listed here with their role and portrait, just without a number, and their own page fills in as the matches arrive.
