Overwatch 6v6 Tier List· Season 3

As of Season 3, updated Jul 8, 2026, the strongest Overwatch hero in 6v6 by win rate is Torbjörn at 55.3%, ahead of Wrecking Ball (54.1%) and Winston (53.8%). Every hero below is ranked S through F by shrunk win rate across all ranks, so a small-sample fluke never reaches the top.

Filter by mode, rank, game type, or role, and click any hero for counters, synergies, and map-specific stats.

Meta snapshot: Season 3, updated Jul 8, 2026.

The rows below sort S through F by shrunk win rate: each hero's raw win rate pulled toward the role baseline, weighted by how many tracked matches feed that sample. It's how we stop a 5-game 100% fluke from reading as the strongest hero in the game. The more matches behind a hero, the closer their shrunk number sits to the raw reality on the ladder.

S-tier means a hero is beating the role baseline by a wide margin with enough sample to trust it. F-tier means the opposite: enough games to be confident the hero is underperforming. Tiers in the middle are where most of the roster lives, and where your individual mastery matters more than the ranking.

Use the filters above to narrow to your rank and game type. Meta shifts hard between Bronze and Grandmaster, and Overwatch is no different. For a per-hero breakdown of counters, synergies, and best maps, click any row.

Overwatch tier list FAQ

Why is Torbjörn at the top of the Overwatch tier list right now?
Torbjörn holds the highest shrunk win rate across Overwatch 6V6, all ranks in Season 3, around 55.3%. Shrinkage penalises low-sample heroes, so reaching the top means both a strong raw win rate and enough tracked matches to trust the number. Click the hero for per-map and per-rank breakdowns.
Why isn't this the same as the full Overwatch tier list?
This page ranks heroes by their 6v6 performance specifically. Hero balance shifts between modes, so the order here can differ a lot from the 5V5 tier list. The full tier list defaults to 5V5 and lets you switch modes with the filter.
What is Bayesian shrinkage, and how does it change the ranking?
Shrinkage blends each hero's raw win rate with the role average, weighted by sample size. A hero with 5 matches at 100% gets pulled most of the way back to the role baseline. A hero with 10,000 matches barely moves. It means a one-game fluke never floats to the top, so the tier list stays honest even when some heroes are rarely picked.
How many matches feed each Overwatch tier list row?
Counterwatch aggregates community-tracked matches from a rolling recent window, weighted by match count across every map the hero appeared on. You can see the exact sample size per hero on the hero's detail page. The minimum threshold for display is low, but low-sample heroes are shrunk aggressively so they don't dominate the top tiers.
Should I only play S-tier Overwatch heroes?
No. The tier list is an aggregate signal: it doesn't know your rank, your map, your comp, or the opponent's composition. Use it as a starting point, then click through to the hero page for per-rank, per-map, and matchup data. A C-tier hero can be S-tier on a specific map or into a specific comp.
Tier list vs best one tricks: which should I trust?
The tier list answers "what's strong right now." Best one tricks answers "which hero rewards mastery." A hero can be top-3 in the tier list but low-ranked for one-tricking if their ceiling relies on specific matchups. For climbing a single hero, use the best one tricks page.
