How are the session and match grades calculated?
Every match, every hero you play in it, and every session gets one rating: Impact, from 1 to 99, with a letter cut from it.
| Letter | Impact |
|---|---|
| S | 96 and up |
| A | 80 to 95 |
| B | 60 to 79 |
| C | 40 to 59 |
| D | 20 to 39 |
| F | Below 20 |
50 is the typical minute on that hero at your rank. Impact reads your eliminations (kills in Marvel Rivals), assists and deaths per 10 minutes against how players on the same hero, in matches at the same rank, usually do. Each one is weighted by how strongly it goes with winning for your role.
The weights differ by role. For tank and damage heroes, eliminations and deaths carry almost all of it. For supports, assists and deaths count the most and eliminations the least.
Healing, damage and mitigation are tracked and shown on every match, but they are not part of Impact. When the rating was fitted against real matches, they added nothing once eliminations, assists and deaths were known, in every role. The weights are checked again when a season changes how the game is played.
It also reads the rest of your match, so a match that went badly for your whole team doesn't make everyone on it an F, and a stomp doesn't make everyone on the winning side an A.
Your result is never part of it. Wins and losses sit beside your Impact, not inside it.
- A match's Impact covers every hero you played. A hero you played for less than a fifth of the match isn't rated on its own.
- A session's Impact covers every match in it.
- Impact is read against community data, so you need to be signed in to see it.
- A short or thinly played match is shown dimmed. When there isn't enough to read, Counterwatch says why instead of showing a number.
