The Counterwatch roadmap: what I'm building next

|OverwatchMarvel Rivals

This is where Counterwatch is headed. I've been heads-down building, and I want to show you what's coming next across both Overwatch and Marvel Rivals. I work in roughly this order, but priorities shift as I learn from you, so treat it as a living plan. Timing and order can change.

Building now

  • I'm adding Stadium support for Overwatch, with tracking and live insights built for Stadium matches.
  • I'm rebuilding the live match view so the in-match overlay stays clean and gives you the read at a glance.

Coming soon

This wave is about making Counterwatch feel like yours and connecting you to the people you play with.

  • Profiles are on the way. I'm still planning what goes in them, so I won't over-promise, but one thing is already locked in. The early supporter titles I owe everyone who subscribed to Premium before its features were built are coming, and I haven't forgotten.
  • Website sign-in that actually sticks, so you can stay logged in on counterwatch.gg and reach your support tickets from the browser on the day the app breaks and you need help.
  • Following your friends as Counterwatch users, so you can keep up with their win streaks and how they're doing, not just your shared match history. I'm still working out how it'll look.
  • Invite rewards, so bringing a friend to Counterwatch is worth something for both of you.
  • Opt-in notifications for things worth knowing, like a friend coming online or a patch shaking up a hero you play.

On the horizon

Bigger pieces, a little further out.

  • A lighter view for newer players that shows just the essentials and opens up as they climb, so Counterwatch is useful from your first ranked game and not just your hundredth.
  • Deeper stats, with bigger deep-dives and end-of-season recaps.
  • A standalone app (still exploratory) that runs on its own, unbundled from Overwolf, for players who'd rather use it that way.

The plan isn't fixed, and I want your input

Counterwatch is a solo project, and your feedback really shapes what I build. If you're reading this and thinking "what about the thing I actually care about, why isn't that even on here?", I want to hear it. I'm one person, I read everything, and I'm glad to reprioritize when enough of you tell me something matters.

Come share your ideas in the Counterwatch Discord.
