Overwatch Season 2 "Summit" closing meta snapshot: who finished on top
Overwatch Season 2 Summit closes on June 16, and with the last weeks of data in, the season has mostly made up its mind. The halfway snapshot left three questions open: whether Torbjörn would hold his lead, whether the bunched-up Tank role would sort itself out, and where the Sierra, Venture, and Mei damage cluster would settle. Here is how they resolved.
All numbers below are shrunk win rates from Season 2 community data through the week of June 1, 2026, 5V5, all game types, all ranks, aggregated across maps.
Tank: Reinhardt holds by a hair, Sigma slides
- Reinhardt, 52.23% over ~101,300 matches
- Junker Queen, 52.22% over ~35,800 matches
- Hazard, 52.00% over ~40,400 matches
- Wrecking Ball, 51.99% over ~31,000 matches
- Domina, 51.75% over ~61,600 matches
The Tank role stayed compressed, but the order churned. Reinhardt still leads, now by a single hundredth of a point over Junker Queen, who climbed from fifth at the halfway mark all the way to second. The bigger move is Sigma, who sat level for the top a month ago and has slid to sixth at 51.65%. Wrecking Ball pushed into the top five as the two-tank-friendly brawler found space late in the season. So the compression sorted out mostly by reshuffling rather than separating: the top five are still inside half a point of each other, but the names moved.
Damage: Torbjörn holds, the chase pack reshuffles
- Torbjörn, 55.37% over ~39,100 matches
- Symmetra, 53.39% over ~27,500 matches
- Pharah, 52.59% over ~44,400 matches
- Venture, 52.13% over ~24,200 matches
- Reaper, 52.06% over ~91,900 matches
Torbjörn held the role from wire to wire, cooling only slightly from his halfway 55.58% to 55.37%, still the most dominant single number in the game. Symmetra and Pharah held second and third. The Sierra, Venture, and Mei cluster thinned to one survivor. Venture kept fourth, while Sierra slid all the way to eighth at 51.56% and Mei dropped to sixth. Reaper climbed into fifth on a big sample, the brawl-damage answer to a season that rewarded chipping the frontline.
Support: Zenyatta pulls clear, Wuyang sneaks in
- Zenyatta, 53.41% over ~108,100 matches
- Illari, 52.60% over ~80,400 matches
- Brigitte, 52.54% over ~51,400 matches
- Lúcio, 51.44% over ~63,100 matches
- Wuyang, 51.12% over ~73,800 matches
The basis-point race at the top broke Zenyatta's way. He and Illari were tied to a hundredth at the halfway mark; now Zenyatta holds a clear lead as Illari cooled to 52.60%, with Brigitte nearly catching her for second at 52.54%. Lower down, Wuyang edged into the top five and Mizuki slipped just out to sixth at 51.07%, though his huge sample keeps that placement among the most confident on the board.
What the season says
Summit goes in the books as a season decided by passive damage and a balanced, churny Tank pool. Torbjörn leading the entire game from start to finish at a 55% shrunk win rate is what Summit will be remembered for, and Symmetra riding shotgun says the meta rewarded steady chip on the frontline over burst ceilings all season. The Tank role never produced a runaway, which is rare, and the late slide of Sigma alongside the rise of Junker Queen and Wrecking Ball suggests the patch nudged the role toward brawl by the end.
Season 3 starts June 16. The reset will scramble all of this, so treat these as Summit's closing numbers, not a forecast. For the live data at your rank, filter the full tier list to your division, and the Counterwatch app overlay scores your lineup against the enemy comp live as picks lock.
