The dataset
Counterwatch measures which heroes beat which, from the kill feeds of matches its own users play. That is the part no one else publishes: Blizzard's official hero statistics page carries win, pick and ban rates but no hero-versus-hero data, and the player trackers are built around profile lookups. Coverage right now:

A matchup is published once at least 50 distinct players have contributed to it. Overwatch Stadium runs a restricted 33-hero pool by design, so its roster is smaller than the other modes rather than incomplete. Counter ratings last rebuilt Sep 3, 2026 (Overwatch), Sep 3, 2026 (Marvel Rivals).

Counterwatch is a free Windows companion app and website for Overwatch and Marvel Rivals. The in-game overlay keeps players on top of match state (who's on each team, when heroes swap, how the session is going) and the website hosts tier lists, a team builder, and per-map hero win rates drawn from thousands of tracked community matches.

- Core features are free. Optional Plus and Premium subscriptions unlock personal-stats features and support development.
- Methodology
- Every community win rate passes through Bayesian shrinkage before display so small-sample heroes can't dominate rankings. Counter ratings use duel and teamfight outcomes rather than match win rate.
