Marvel Rivals Season 8 "Sins of Alchemax" early meta snapshot: who's on top four weeks in
Marvel Rivals Season 8, Sins of Alchemax, is about four weeks old, which is the point where the shrunk win rates stop bouncing day to day and the early shape of the meta is readable. Here is who has come out on top in each role so far, and how it compares to where Season 7 finished.
All numbers below are shrunk win rates from Season 8 community data through the week of June 1, 2026, Standard mode, all ranks, all game types, aggregated across maps. Four weeks is still early, so the lower placements will move as the sample grows.
Vanguards: Peni Parker again, with Devil Dinosaur right behind
- Peni Parker, 55.96% over ~36,200 matches
- Devil Dinosaur, 54.63% over ~99,900 matches
- Bruce Banner, 51.63% over ~20,500 matches
- Captain America, 51.27% over ~16,400 matches
- Rogue, 50.49% over ~29,700 matches
Peni Parker carried her Season 7 dominance straight into Season 8 and somehow got stronger, leading the role at 55.96%. The new face is Devil Dinosaur, who sits second at 54.63% on close to 100,000 tracked matches, the highest pick rate of any Vanguard by a wide margin. A hero that popular winning that much is the kind of thing a balance patch usually targets. Bruce Banner and Captain America hold the next tier, and Rogue rounds out the top five, while the Season 7 mainstays Doctor Strange and Angela have drifted just outside it.
Duelists: Magik stays in front
- Magik, 55.62% over ~24,800 matches
- Daredevil, 53.49% over ~23,500 matches
- Black Cat, 52.54% over ~25,900 matches
- Storm, 52.46% over ~7,800 matches
- Blade, 51.58% over ~12,600 matches
Magik picked up where she left off, the clear top Duelist at 55.62% and the only one past 54%. Daredevil held second. Below them the role turned over: Black Cat has broken into third and Blade into fifth, while the Season 7 top-five names Black Panther and Iron Man slipped out. Storm holds fourth, though on the smallest sample of the group, so treat that one as the least settled of the five.
Strategists: Rocket and Ultron trade places
- Rocket Raccoon, 54.99% over ~44,700 matches
- Ultron, 54.91% over ~17,800 matches
- Mantis, 53.40% over ~21,200 matches
- White Fox, 52.18% over ~96,600 matches
- Luna Snow, 50.31% over ~90,400 matches
The Strategist top two from Season 7 are still the Strategist top two, but they have swapped order and both climbed. Rocket Raccoon now leads at 54.99%, a hair ahead of Ultron at 54.91%, reversing the Season 7 finish where Ultron led. Mantis rose to a clear third. White Fox keeps the highest sample in the role by far at ~96,600 and sits fourth, and Luna Snow takes the fifth spot. Invisible Woman, a top-five Strategist by sample all of last season, sits just below the cut at 49.43%, the familiar pattern of a heavily-picked, reliable hero hovering right around the baseline.
What to watch
A few things will tell you how Season 8 settles over the next few weeks. Whether Peni Parker and Devil Dinosaur both keep winning at the top of Vanguard, since two strong, popular tanks at once is usually a nerf magnet. Whether Black Cat holds its early Duelist placement once the sample fills in. And whether Rocket Raccoon keeps its slim lead over Ultron, because half a point either way flips the role. We will check back at the halfway mark.
