Marvel Rivals Season 10 "Butcher's Blasphemy" first-month meta: where it stood as Season 10.5 lands

|Marvel Rivals

Season 10.5 of Marvel Rivals went live on October 9 with a balance patch that leaves all three role leaders alone. Peni Parker closed the first four weeks of Season 10, Butcher's Blasphemy, as the strongest hero in the data at 58.79 percent, with Ultron leading Strategist at 58.05 and Storm leading Duelist at 56.38.

How these are measured

These are shrunk win rates from Season 10 community data up to the 10.5 patch, Standard mode, all ranks, all game types, aggregated across maps. The shrink pulls thin samples toward 50 percent so a hero with a few hundred matches cannot fluke onto a list. Every number here was recorded before the balance changes, so it describes the meta the patch inherits.

Vanguard

  • Peni Parker, 58.79% over ~21,400 matches
  • Devil Dinosaur, 54.66% over ~44,500 matches
  • Bruce Banner, 52.63% over ~14,300 matches
  • Thor, 52.60% over ~17,700 matches
  • Captain America, 52.44% over ~10,500 matches

Peni Parker led Vanguard in Season 9 as well, at 56.82 percent, and is untouched in 10.5. Devil Dinosaur climbed from eleventh in the role last season to second, and the patch takes his base health from 850 to 825. Bruce Banner (Hulk) is buffed in third, with a faster Gamma Ray Gun in Banner form and a stronger Team-Up with Wolverine.

Duelist

  • Storm, 56.38% over ~7,100 matches
  • Gorr The God Butcher, 55.68% over ~51,500 matches
  • Magik, 54.42% over ~17,000 matches
  • Scarlet Witch, 53.49% over ~54,000 matches
  • Mister Fantastic, 53.14% over ~8,300 matches

Storm is untouched too, but at roughly 7,100 matches hers is the thinnest sample in these lists. Gorr The God Butcher and Scarlet Witch are the two most played heroes in this top five and both are nerfed. Gorr's Shadow Scythe base damage drops from 55 to 50 and his ultimate from 12 seconds to 10, and Scarlet Witch's Chthonian Burst drops from 40 damage to 35.

Strategist

  • Ultron, 58.05% over ~14,800 matches
  • Mantis, 54.63% over ~19,400 matches
  • Rocket Raccoon, 54.44% over ~32,600 matches
  • Loki, 51.65% over ~15,300 matches
  • Adam Warlock, 51.07% over ~10,000 matches

Ultron took the role lead from Mantis, who closed Season 9 at 57.63 percent, and neither is changed directly. Adam Warlock heals more in 10.5 when he takes the Team-Up with Ultron. Jubilee is sixth at 50.51 percent on roughly 89,100 matches, the largest sample of any hero, and she gains self-healing during Sparking Sprint and a stronger ultimate (150 healing per second to 180) while her blind is cut from 1.5 seconds to 0.8.

Where the buffs went

The largest buffs go to the bottom of the Duelist list. Phoenix is last among Duelists at 44.19 percent over ~15,900 matches, and she gets more damage on Cosmic Flames and on Spark detonations while her self-heal becomes bonus health. Cyclops is second to last at 45.07 percent over ~25,200 matches and gets a cheaper ultimate, and Hawkeye (47.70 percent) gets faster arrows. Iron Man sits eighth at 51.85 percent, and his Micro-Missile Barrage now tracks targets at lower damage per missile, so his number is the hardest one here to carry forward.

What these numbers do not cover

A health or damage change does not convert to a win rate, so none of this predicts where anyone lands. What the first half of the season supports is three leaders the patch left alone, three nerfs that land on popular heroes who climbed this season, and buffs for the two weakest Duelists. Season 10.5 numbers need a few weeks of matches before they can be read.
